Which issue is weighing most heavily on your mind right now?

There seems to be a never ending list of things to worry about. With gasoline prices hitting an alltime high of $4 per gallon in many states, finances seem to be a big issue for many.

We wondered, what is the most pressing issue on your mind as we head into the summer?

No matter how hard we try we can't seem to budget enough and save any money, all our extra mney is going to put gas in our vehicles and groceries in the house.

With gas at $4.50/gallon, it's easily $70 to fill a tank for the week. Groceries are more costly and the kids activities don't slow down. Bargain hunting or bulk shopping is even more of a necessity now. No summer vacation for us this year and we are hoping airline prices will go take a dip after a summer of no one travelling. We're hoping for a late fall vacation if we can afford to get there!

We used to make frequent day trips but now we think of whether it is worth the tank of gas. We don't work the same hours but carpool anyway.

Im not travelling to the beach house as much as last year and Im not eating out as much either. I literally stopped buying things I do not need. I ask myself "do I really NEED this?" if the answerr is no i put it back. Also the warehouse clubs save money because you can buy large quantities, usually cheaper than the grocery stores, and not have to stock up as often which will save you gas $$

Well with the gas so high we just can't spend anymore than we just have to so this has put a lot of things on hold for us. Things really don't look real good and I don't see a change anytime soon

For me, it was a tight race between finances and health. We are certainly feeling the crunch financially, especially since we went from a double income down to one income so I could stay home with our preemie son.

That said, my husband and I both need to lose weight and eat better. His health is much worse than mine, and I am trying to find ways to get us more active!

We all have so many worries in this day and time. Most heavy to me is how to stop our polititians from giving our jobs and businesses away. How to stop them from sneaking payoffs. How to make them hear our voices about issues like illegal santuary cities. Who and what do we believe? Why do some other countries educate their children better than we do?
