Which issue is weighing most heavily on your mind right now?

There seems to be a never ending list of things to worry about. With gasoline prices hitting an alltime high of $4 per gallon in many states, finances seem to be a big issue for many.

We wondered, what is the most pressing issue on your mind as we head into the summer?

Health (15.5%)

Economy/finances (64.7%)

Your Relationship (8.4%)

Welfare of your family/friends (11.3%)

My husband and I are in very good health and both in our 60's. Silly me for thinking things were supposed to get easier when you reached the "golden years." Retirement is not even an option. The "golden years" are pretty rusty.

I am a single mother with grown children. I am also caring for a disabled grandson for the past 20 years. He has health issue that ar hard to see to,all doctors are out of town, since we both live on disability ,gas prices are killing me. I thought that this stage of my life would be less stressful!

life has become more harder to live. When everything goes up but your pay check stays the same it becomes very hard on surviving. With food and gas costs going up you can't think of the future anymore. its really sad.

I live ina mobile home and am on social security. I heat by oil. I am worried how I am going to be able to heat my home this winter.Last winter, i turned the thermostat back to 65 and sat aroung with a blanket on me. Sometimes i was still cold. This year, oil is even more expensive. I just don't know what to do.

I live in San Diego and it seems that our so called sunshine tax is more than most can handle. I stay at home with our 3 children ages 4 and under. It would be virtually impossible to work a job and even then I would only be making $10 and hour if I was lucky, without health care, not that I would use it cause our current health care system is a joke. I know somebody out there is making money, the problem is its the few and not the masses. Anyone making money from home and not those scam programs that you buy to get a list of cold calls either.

This is in response to nfry52's comments:

PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP!!! I understand things are tough and I sympathize with how you feel. Really, the is NOT BS. My Dad died very young & unexpectedly last year, I lost my job the day after his funeral, and then the economy went south and prices went north. What I learned from my Dad is that there IS a happy somewhere in each and everyday. Sometimes it's a stranger who smiles at you on the street or some one who holds the door open, or just taking a minute to look at the sunrise or sunset. Please comment back.

I never drove much to begin with, so the price of gas isn't hurting that bad! It seems that groceries are the worst for me. I can't believe that each week items I buy seem to increase in price by 15- 50 cents! It's crazy! I'm cutting coupons religiously at this point! A few weeks ago I had $50 worth of coupons at the grocery, I was very proud! Between the internet, newspapers and junk mail one can save more than they think with coupons.
