these are the only choices? what about changed things on your home to be more efficient, reduced plastic/cans bottles used and thrown away, started composting, used reusable diapers (not me but im sure som did!) etc. Seems to narrow of choices.... also did anyone participate or enjoy Earth Hour? I was in Canada at the time and they said power usage was down over 10%(cant remember the exact number) for the time period. Imagine if we did that just once a week all the energy that would be saved...

I try to combine shopping trips and running errends. I NEVER use bottled water any longer, I use reusable bags to shop with. Keep an eye on electricity usage and replaced with efficient light bulbs. AND my goal now is to buy more local and organic foods. I recently studied about feed lots and the over abundance of corn in our country....really making me rethink how and what I eat now. The world WOULD be a better place if everyone cared about these things!

The bad thing about us using less energy though is that the energy companies then use it as a reason to increase our rates immensely, you can't win!!!

We recycle where we can, we've changed our lightbulbs, cleaning supplies, christmas lights, we buy recycled products and buy from the farmers market as much as we can or purchase from local companies and farms. Plus we also planted trees on our property.

We try to never use plastic bags when shopping and always look for packaging that is either made of recycled material or reduced in its use of packaging. We now use products that are safe for the planet, never tested on animals and organic where possible. We have found the local Farmers Market and get our eggs, veggies and fish when available. We now think twice about what we buy and where we buy it. We have always recycled and now make sure to include all paper products.

We incorporate my shopping trips to other appointments or picking up medications. We changed to products using recyle contaners. Also I don't understand after all we do to conserve to conserve energy, and they are making electric cars to really shoot up electric bills. I know it's cleaner, but I only hope it's not going to cause major problems when electricity is hard to get. Our electric company is always sending up information that we need to conserve. It's so confusing.
