Where does the time go! Summer is over, school is back in session and the holidays are quickly approaching.
For many (if not all) of us, time passes way too quickly and we can easily put our jobs and our families ahead of our own health and peace of mind.
We're not saying ignore the kids, let your spouse fend for himself, or start slacking off at work. But, we want to make sure you're also making some time for yourself and that you don't leave it to January 2012. Fall is a perfect time to reboot, the weather is cooler for an outdoor jog or stroll and it’s easy to picture your renewed, fitter self in a few months, at a holiday party or family gathering.
So let's start today!

If you’re looking to lose weight, the “My Fitness Pal” app on the iPhone is ridiculously helpful. You enter how much you weigh now, how much you want to weigh and it will tell you how many calories you can intake a day and track it. Enter everything you eat each day (as specific as the Cosi signature salad) and whatever exercise you do and it will tell you how many calories you ate, how many you have left (if any) and exactly how much you would weigh in 5 weeks if you keep doing what you’re doing. It’s a great way to know exactly where the weight is coming from and how to lose it!
And these are the prizes!

For me as a full time mom it's hard to find time to reboot but every day I take 1 hour and do Insanity. After my exercise I feel so great and my body is relaxed. I also tend to drink lots of water to cleanse all the toxins out.
I've tried many diets but the one tried and true method that works for my weight loss is just as simple as adding in exercise and watching what I eat! I start with a simple 20 minute a day workout! Who doesn't have 20 minutes a day to spare?? I either do it before the kids wake up or after they have gone to bed! My favorite is Jillian Micheals 30 day Shred!
I plan my meals so that I don't swing by and pick up fast food.
I like to take more time in the winter to take care of my skin the cold weather can really dry you out so its great to drnk more oj for vit c & i love to drnk a few cups of hot green tea
Every sunday I re evaluate my goals and what I can do to make them happen. I see where I wasn't as healthy during the week and make it a mini goal to change it.
I like to take a daily walk with my kids. It is great to have good habits as an adult, it is even better to start off your kids in the right direction. I love that they ENJOY being outside on our walks, so do I!
I discovered this far too late in life - if you want to gain muscle and lose weight, do not just concentrate on cardio. You will see much more of a change in your body if you lift heavy (dumbbells, not soup cans) and throw in cardio here and there. Also, more is not better - an hour should do the trick. You will definitely see results!
I just joined Cerra.com. there are great steps to take to get yourself back grounded. But most importantly eating a balanced diet and getting enough sleep. I can really use some tips as I am feeling a little under the weather today. Yoga or Pitayo always makes me calm and relaxed as well.
I think that getting a little bit of excercise makes you feel so much better. I am a very overweight person, so I am not a model of health, but I know that just getting a little bit of excercise makes me feel great. Just walking for 20 minutes, or parking my car further back in the parking lot. It makes me feel better about myself, it helps me sleep better and it is good for me! So, that is my suggestion on how to reboot!
I've always found it very difficult to put myself first. However, several years ago - when I was single - I decided to have a monthly "date night"... with myself. I would schedule a mani/pedi, rent a movie I had never gotten around to seeing at the movie theater and get something "extra" special for dinner (often I'd dine on King Crab legs). The effort and money I would normally put into getting ready to impress someone else on a date was put into making myself the priority for the evening. It was amazing how relaxed and happier I became after taking some time to take care of myself on the "date nights'. Even though I'm no longer single, I still plan regular "date nights" to remind myself to prioritize my mental and physical well-being.
Slather on the sunscreen then relax in the warm autumn sun...let the warmth soak right into your soul.
To reboost the body, you need to skip that first cup of coffee in the morning and go straight for a tall glass of water with this it not only rehydrates you from lack of water during the night it also wakes you up. If you have time do a 30 min workout while getting ready, streches and toning are good and not to loud it you don't want to wake the kids. Finally, make sure that you spend time to yourself!
I think that this is the best time of year to get outside for exercise. Find a buddy and then go for a walk or just do that yardwork that yo have been putting off. It's about to be too cold so I try to get out before I am stuck inside trying to get exercise.
I have extremely busy days but have to get a workout in due to health reasons.... There is nothing like kids to hold you accountable! If that means a late evening walk then so be it! A brisk walk always makes me feel better! At least a 30 minute walk does the body so much good!
I have rebooted my body through eliminating artificial ingredients from my diet. I don't eat or drink anything that has high fructose corn syrup, partially hydrogenated oils, artificial preservitives, colors, and flavors. As for my produce, I eat all organic along with organic dairy. I have also cut out soft drinks and high sugary drinks. I then walk about a mile a day on top of normal household chores. Because I have begun to live this lifestyle, I sleep better, feel better, and have gotten sick 75% less than before.
