Well.... I think makeup is important because it makes you feel better and maybe kind of subconsciously hides the problem. Even though we might not have money we don't have to look like we don't have money. We can still be beautiful! Now I am not stating that makeup is the only way to be beautiful but it's an easy way to go from casual to glam in seconds!

We are lucky and have not been affected so far. My daughter thinks that just because you stick a card in a machine the money comes out.

Still like to go out to dinner once in a while. I like my kids to have things they want, but have cut back.

We live within our means so no cut backs are necessary. Changes in the economy haven't hit our budget.

I still buy little treats for my children and great lipsticks for myself. But I do cut down on things like DVD rentals and magazine subscriptions and go to the library and get these items instead!

I'm still eating out...there's only 3 of us in the house, so it's not that much of a stretch, and DH just got a 3% raise. We're just not going out as often as we used to, despite the raise. It's one of our little treats to ourselves.

Since I am retired and on a "fixed income" the economy has not really caused me to alter my spending

I'm MAKING more snacks instead of buying so I can still buy my child treats sometimes.
