I love the Sears brand. It goes on with only one coat. If you don't like the color they take the return without an issue.
Quality is very important-you spend a little more, but quality cuts down on coats!
Im getting more involved with going green/eco-friendly.Although the quality of paint is important also.
In every brand of paint you can find the color you need the quality is most important. I have used paint that was a preety color but horrible paint. recently I went with a well know brand and the quality was very good, You want a paint that will cover the first time and stay clean looking othe paints can look shadowiy and may look like you have oil stains on your wall
Quality does make a difference
Quality is very important to me, all the work it takes to actually paint, I don't need it to chip off if something hits the wall!!
I found out that you actually use less Quality paint then you do if you get a bargain brand
I'd look for the right color in quality paint. It lasts longer, has better coverage so it's better value in the long run.
I tend to pick by color and by price. I did not think there was a huge difference in quality amoung brands until I bought a poor quality (store brand) stain and it was worn off the wood with in a very short time. It then looked a mess and I felt like it had been a waste of time and energy on my part. After that experience I think I may begin placing more importance on quality!
We only buy Sherwin Williams brand in our house. My husband owned a painting company for years and found that their product held up the best.
