I have to do anything I consider reasonable to cut corners and save more. I have always been willing to try new things and if I can save money too what's better than that.

I also have looked and bought off brand products lately to save money. unless I have a coupon that makes the brand name cheaper.

For me, it depends on the product. If it seems like a better bargain that what I am buying now or something that looks like something new I could use that will save the environment or lower pollution...I am more likely to buy it. For example, I am thinking of buying the steam floor cleaner, even tho it's a rather expensive first purchase, only because it doesn't use ANY cleaning products..which cuts my costs for cleaners and saves the environment from chemicals and throwaway bottles that might not biodegrade. I am much more interested these days in environmentally safe products, using the reusable cloths bags, bringing back those plastic bags to the centers, etc. It's become a priority for me in the last six months. MUCH more conscious of it.

The economy has effected us in different ways. I have always been a thrifty person when it comes to purchases, but now I being more creative. Finding things for free, using TONS of coupons and trying different products I may not have tried before.

I try to step back and think ok can I live without this item or am I gonna kick myself for not getting it. If in doubt either go home, or if online dont visit that site for a few days and see if you truly think you need a certain "splurge item, alot of times after a couple of days of putting it on the backburner I find I really didnt need that item!

Whatever is cheaper, we don't have the money to be picky.
