Brand name vs. store brand...hmmm...there are so many factors we think about when choosing between brand names and store brands.  Price is often a big factor in our decisions, but we’re also thinking about product quality, convenience, and how comfortable we are with the brand.

Aside from price, what do you think about when choosing between a brand name and a store brand?

I find for the most part that the brand names ARE better quality but there are exceptions, like salsa. I find any store brand of salsa is better than La Victoria which is too watered down and bland. And soda is also much better when it is Coke than generic. And the brand name soda has much more variety.

As a general rule, I prefer brand name products. I use coupons and check weekly specials at three grocery stores near me.I make my lists according to specials. I also shop department store at sales.

I prefer to buy brand name products. I use coupons. I check weekly specials at three grocery stores near where I live , and make a large portion of my list from these specials. As a rule, I can purchase brand name cheaper than the generic.
