I agree with azbarmaid. If a product works well or better than what I'd expected, especially if it's new, that's what matters to me most; however, I do comparative shop 90% of the time. Comparative shopping is something that I learned in college and it rarely fails me. If I find a product that I'm really impressed with, I'll usually stick with it!

Yes I understand that times are hard but to me this is the time to try new things. You may have a coupon or even a free sample and try something new and like it when other wise you would never try it because you wouldn't even think of trying some you have never used before if times weren't so tight.

I like to try new items in an attempt to save money, especially if recommended by one of my other mom's - One of my main challenges is feeding a family of 5 on a monthly budget of about $125 per week including diapers and cleaning products while also meeting their nutrition needs. Quick Grocery Fact: Did you know your grocery may carry baby spinach in bundles near the Parsley and other lettuces for about 1.29 a bundle vs. over $3.00 for bagged plus your getting nutrition that other lettuces don't provide.

I have been trying all sorts of new products lately, especially with triple coupon sale at my local Grocery store. Great way to try new stuff for next to nothing. I even got some of the things totally FREE! Plus, when you couple the triple coupons with BOGO sales, you really get Christmas all year round! My husband wonders how I "spend" so much & never seem to spend anything! What better way to try new products. Plus, most company promote new products with coupons, so it's mos likely you'll always find saings on new products! I don't buy hardly anything without coupons, at least for the past 5 years or so.

I agree with gjet68. I used to buy store brand items more often, but my increased coupon use has caused me to try different brand names recently. I am enjoying saving money at the same time as getting to try products I wouldn't have bought before.

I love trying new products, but I am also very economical and aware of cost. I do not like products that have been tested on animals.

I always shop for a sale. I have not personally been effected by the economy, but I always look for the best deal and value for my money.
