A contractor friend made a couple of suggestions of brand names of paints, so I Googled "best interior paint recommendations" and found several blogs discussing various paints and the experiences had with each one. It was a real eye-opener! I'd used Behr in the past simply out of convenience - the kiosk was right there at HD, where I was buying my cheap-o rollers, brushes and trays. After reading the blogs and comparing the contributors' opinions and ratings, I chose Duron for my current project and have been VERY pleased with not only the color and the coverage, but also with the service provided at my local Duron store. Truth be told, any paint dealer will mix their color to match any other maker's color. Oh, yeah, and I don't buy the cheap-o brushes and rollers anymore, either...those make a huge difference, too, but you really have to take care of them.
I like to have a theme or design in mind before buying paint. Then I pick out the color or colors that will go along with the project idea I have in my head. Quality paint is essential. You really get what you pay for.
If it is good quality paint you can get it in any color!
We just painted our whole down stairs of the house. We first had to find the colors we needed, but we only looked within the quality brands, so that did limit us a little, but you do have to have a good quality paint for it to last. Especially with kids!!
Quality comes first, color can be chosed in any quality. I would rather do one coat instead of 2.
environmentally safe is what I picked I have asthma so these things are important to me
My husband's best friend is a professional painter by trade and I already know that the quality of paint is the key factor in painting. So I primarily focus on the color.
Quality is the most important to me.
You can find the right color in a variety of paint brand but I have learn the lesson the hard way... quality matters. I always buy brands I can trust otherwise you will be repainting in no time.
It's all the above, but I do care If it's safe.
