How are you treated by salespeople when shopping for personal/home electronics?

Salespeople have a range of personalities.  However, women often feel that they are not treated with enough respect by salespeople when purchasing electronics such as TVs, computers, etc. 

What has your experience been?  Do you feel that you are treated with respect by electronics salespeople?

Poorly - I'm ignored or patronized (15.5%)

OK - I'm treated alright, but could be better (57.3%)

Well - I'm treated respectfully (27.3%)

How are you treated by salespeople when shopping for personal/home electronics?

    Just make sure you do not shop at Best Buy. Both myself and friends have had very bad experiences here with the sales staff. We swear never to shop here again. It is as if the sale staff don't care about the customers and only about getting that sale. While in the middle of returned a non-working DVD our salesperson was too busy checking the status of their sales - while we stood waiting. This speaks for itself. We always give companies the benefit of the doubt - but there comes a point where enough is enough.

    I don't even remember the last time i was not treated well by a salesperson or any associate for that matter.Usually you get what you give

    i always go to best buy or pc richards,they are great

    I despise it when I ask a question and the salesperson starts to read me information from the shelf tag or box. Like I hadn't tried that already!

    i buy some type of electronics often. i have not experienced a rude or impolite salesperson. thank goodness for them, i will and do speak up for myself.

    It seems when you need help there is nobody there to help you or they are in a terrible mood, and when you dont need help they are there and seem very kind and helpful every second youre in the store..... I dont get i have times where i really need to find something and they just say " oh if its not there we dont have it" ugh it pisses me off!!!!

    I am treated ok. Def could be better. Def depends on where I am shopping. Some better than others. Most do not have enough knowledge of the products to help with my questions.

    When i go shopping for electronics i do so with confidence.i show that am in charge of what am doing and hence get the best service from the sales people

    I'm a very open but knowlagable person about what im going in to buy expecally if it is a high dollar item. I think if the person doesnt know that much about the item I may come accross very strong.
