In light of the economic downturn, have you been more or less likely to try new products?

The economy has many of us thinking about our product purchase decisions.  Are we buying the right products at the best price?  We were curious to hear if you are re-evaluating your purchase decisions in light of the economic downturn?

Please tell us!  We want to know what you think.

Less likely - I'm sticking to tried-and-true favorites, this is not a time to experiment (12.5%)

Equally likely - The economy hasn't changed my love of trying new things (44.0%)

More likely - I like trying new, less expensive alternatives to cut back (43.5%)

    Coupons are a definite PLUS when trying a new product. I am looking at ads and coupons more carefully these days.

    economy is bad and it dosent mean I stop myself towards a constructive environement... I keep trying things and I am gr8 explorer...

    I love to try new things! I see something new in the store and I just can't resist. But with the bad economy I find myself looking for coupons more than ever!

    Due to the economy I have been trying to use the products that I have on hand instead of trying new ones.

    Yes, as the economy has been unkind I find it necessary to look for bargins which includes new things. I definitely not going to cheeper things just watch for options. I love trying new products as long as its affordable.

    Now that the strings have tightened on our budget, my spending has really been cut when it comes to nonessentials (to my husband anyways!). So I try to buy the best product I can for the least amount of money. I get to try new things and am not afraid to use coupons anymore!!

    it's always great when to find less expensive alternatives of the products i like.

    I still try new things, but only when I can get them with a coupon. If I like it, then I will keep purchasing it. I reguse to try new things at full price. I hate the idea of wasting money on something I may or may not like.

    are you kidding me, the only way to find a better, more economical product is to try new ones. I use coupons and the local sales flyers to direct my buying habits as well
