Are you concerned about how much calcium you get on a daily basis?

A recent study suggested that an alarming 80% of women do not get enough calcium.  Do you think you are getting enough calcium on a daily basis?  Do you feel well educated on the importance of calcium for your health?

    i try to buy products with added calcium because im always worried if myself and my family is getting enough calcium.

    I take a multiple-vitamin and calcium supplements when I don't drink enough milk. I try to drink more milk or eat more calcium rich foods like almonds, yogurt, etc. I try to walk at least half an hour a day also since weight bearing exercise is good for the bones. My mother is seventy three and she walks two to three miles a day just to purchase her grocercies and newspaper. She is a very active person who needs more calcium because she doesn't like milk. She

    Absolutely although I am lactose intolerant so that makes it hard to get enough calcium on a daily basis. I try to do weight bearing exercise at least twice a week to help maintain my bone density and strength. I don't want to get to an older age and be faced with bone issues.

    Yes, it is very important for women to get their daily calcium requirement. If you aren't a big dairy fan, take a supplement....you'll be happy that you did as you get older.

    I know I drink enough milk to cover my calcium content per day. So I'm not worried about it.

    I have been checked by my doctor...bone density is great. I eat green leafy vegetables, milk, yogurt and cheese. A daily supplement of vitamin D plus calcium helps, too.

    I try very hard to make sure yogurt is a part of my daily diet. I also at least 2 glasses of milk. I have some blood issues so I have my vitamin D levels checked every 3 months and I have found this to work for me. I need my bones to last a long time, so I can enjoy my children and my grandchildren!!!

    I am 63 years old and drink at least 3 glasses of milk a day. I eat cheese (all sorts), sour cream and yogurt. To say I want to keep my bones strong is putting it mildly. I have always been a milk lover.

    I worry very much about not getting enough calcium but I also haven't changed my diet to include more calcium rich products. I've tried the calcium chews in the past but couldn't stick with them.
