    Even tho I enjoy a good verbal chat, I like and depend on email for quick updates and to stay in touch with busy friends near and far away. My mom is 89 years YOUNG, is an avid emailer and we share several emails a day as well as chat via telephone and in person weekly! I think a reasonable combination of in person, telephone/cell and email is a good thing. And, I DON'T text!!! Of course nothing beats good one on one, eye to eye conversation when possible and/or as often as possible! Just not always possible.

    It all depends on what the subject matter is and who I am conversing with. I can say that talking on the phone is my least favorite.
