This holiday season, did you spend more money than you expected?

Phew!  The holiday shopping is behind us!  We've heard many women talking about gift giving this year.  The news has been abound with stories about how shoppers came out in force this season and spent more than was expected.

So, we were curious. Did you spend more or less than you expected to this year? Tell us your thoughts. We want to hear!

Yes- I spent much more than I expected (17.1%)

Yes- I spent more but, not much more than expected (28.2%)

No- I spent about what I expected (40.0%)

No- I spent less than I expected (14.5%)

    I try to do my Christmas shopping throughout the whole year. I feel less stressed and most of it is done by the time the BIG crowds hit the stores. Plus I get to go to all the great sales!!

    I have a small extended family. I have one child so yes I do go a "little" overboard getting gifts for her. My husband and I give a couple gifts and the rest of the family gets gift certificates. They are so easy and you can be more in control of what you spend.

    I have a locked cabinet that is used for gifts I pick up through the year.

    I watched sales and got the majority of gifts on sale.
