In light of the economic downturn, have you been more or less likely to try new products?

The economy has many of us thinking about our product purchase decisions.  Are we buying the right products at the best price?  We were curious to hear if you are re-evaluating your purchase decisions in light of the economic downturn?

Please tell us!  We want to know what you think.

Less likely - I'm sticking to tried-and-true favorites, this is not a time to experiment (12.5%)

Equally likely - The economy hasn't changed my love of trying new things (44.0%)

More likely - I like trying new, less expensive alternatives to cut back (43.5%)

    With the economy being as it is and my teenage boys eating as they do, I have turned back to couponing and sales which helps me plan purchases. Some items are not worth buying if my family doesn't like it so If I am able to get a great deal on it and I can afford to I pass it on to someone who needs it.

    Sales & coupons definitely help when it comes to trying new products. I have noticed that some Companies give away a free sample from their website when they have a new product available. I request it if I am interested enough in it. Most of the time it does come with a coupon which is wonderful i you fall in love with it. :) Some things seem less expensive when they first come out. It's like a special introductory price to get people to try it. After a certain amount of time the price shoots up. Sadly, things like that become once in while treats.

    I've been looking all over to try different items and see if I can cut costs. It has been a good experience!

    times are very hard now, so I have been trying new products that are healthier and cheaper. beside if you don't try it how will you know if you like it.

    The economy hasn't stopped me from trying new things, but I do research what I intend to purchase to see if it's living up to it's claims. I want to make sure I get my monies worth of course.

    I like the dieheart products, but if I have a coupon to com[ensate the value, then I'll purchase it along with the coupon, good free coupon site is all4free.com

    time are rough, but there are certain items i will NOT skim on, such as shampoo's, facial cleaners and cleaning supplies!

    I've been trying lots of new brands to save money, especially if I have a coupon that gets the price down lower than my usual product.
