I agree with julie53548. If its not good quality, it sucks.

I learned long ago that cheap ends up being more expensive, so I always go for the good, quality paint, regardless how much it costs. I would rather pay more up front and know what Im getting, as opposed to buying cheap and not being happy, then wasting more money going out to buy what I should have in the first place. Saves on time, which you cant get back, plus saves gas and the aggrivation, not to mention extra work!

This survey was very hard to answer, because when I look for paint I try to look at each of these aspects equally. Even though I may love the color of one brand of paint, I most of the time won't purchase it if the price is extremely high. Or if I like the quality of the paint, and the color is bad I also won't purchase it. I think there are three most important factors color, price, and quality, and it's hard to make a purchase if you don't feel good about all three!

My hubby is big on price...going for the best deal. I did notice that the quality does suffer. I won't make that mistake again!

I just repainted my bedroom, my little guy's bedroom, and the livingroom. I used Olympian. I'm no paint expert by any stretch but I love the results so far. Not sure if it's considered a "quality" paint though. I just really liked the Spiced Wine and Apple Crisp colors. :)

Color is the most important of the choices, with quality at a close second. I recently had our paint store mix a pink color paint for my bathroom. The color turned out to be pepto bismol pink, not a color you would want to face each day in the bathroom. I ended up hiding the color on the walls of a seldom used room and returning to the paint store for a lighter shade for my bathroom.

Quality should always be #1. As stated above most agree, without quality you don't get good color or value!!

I pick the best brand that i can afford and color is second. I can usually find a color i like in the better brands.

Buying quality makes it last a lot longer, which in turn is a good value!

We've tried a lot of different brands, and I have to admit that the ones we got from the specialty paint stores were much better. I agree that quality is a huge difference. I always hope to find the right color, and so far have not been disappointed by that.
