I love to bake and bringing a dessert is always appreciated. Who really can turn down a bake good?
I like to bring a bottle of festive wine or the host's favorite alchoholic beverage!
I am a pro at appetizers or casseroles!!
I Love to bake so taking sweets is fun!
I like to bring a gift that I know the hostess will love.I want it to be a gift for her and one that she gets to keep for herslf.Afterall ,she is hosting an event and givng so much of herslf. She deserves a personal present :)
I try and encorporate a gift with a dessert or other food/drink item or something geared specifically to the hostesses likes....goodies on a special holiday tray or tower for the hostess to keep, A bottle of wine with a varity of wine glass stem charms. Years ago, a friend that loves to scrapbook threw a New Years party and I gave a gift basket of New Years themed scrapbooking pages, items, etc so she could scrapbook the photos of the evening. Make sure to acknowledge the host as well. I know when we throw a party my husband works just as hard planning, preparing and hosting the evening as I do.
Lately I have been giving Reed Diffusers--most of my friends/Associates already have EVERYTHING--so something beautifully wrapped/packaged (Marshall's/Home Goods have the best selections) that can be used up and tossed (instead of packed away for another year) is a gift alot of hostesses seem to enjoy receiving.
I really enjoy baking so I usually always bring the dessert and most of the time have requests to!!!
I love to bake and people seem to like my deserts. However, I only bring a desert if I am asked too or if I talked to the host and let them know I'm bringing one.
I like to take drinks because its easier and dont have to make anything
