    We submitted ours very early since we knew we would get a little money back. We had a nice surprise when the check arrived to find we had miscalculated in our favor. We got an additional $800 due to a tax refund we knew nothing about.

    We do ours ASAP, Got a nice refund, already paid for our December trip to Disney, bought the kids a swing set and still have more to save and play with!!

    I did mine right away and got the Federal Refund within days! NY State, however, decided to hold my state refund hostage until April 1. I stuck most of mine away and opened a 529 account for each of my grandchildren. I hope to put a little something in that each year for them!
