Store brands have improved, but not much where I live with the prices. They're trying to get up to par with name brands on pricing. & That isn't fair to the consumer. Alot of the OTC Meds with store brands is just as good as name brands, but usually it's all in one's head. Teach yourself to believe in what brand you prefer.

I don't think the store brands have improved at all. They are just much more prolific now since the economy has gone sour. Personally, I have purchased more store brands recently because they were the most affordable. However, they just don't taste good. I've also noticed that whenever anything is on sale at the local Smith's grocery store, it is usually just the Kroger brand. I want to say, 'shame on them' for taking advantage of the economic downturn. Better brands used to go on sale more often, but now those brands hardly ever go on sale.

I am experimenting more with store brands and so far haven't been disappointed. They are much better priced, often times a brand name can't match the price even with a coupon.

I used to be very picky about the brands I bought...but with today's economy, I had to cut back....and I found out that store brands are just as good-if not better-than the higher priced name brands.

I buy everything that I can in the NO SALT ADDED or Less Sodium and some of the off brands are beginning to carry this and I will buy these items

Store brands have came a long way. If you you at the labels and compare the name brand against the store brand, you'll find they're very similar if not identical.

I think they've improved a lot, but then I'm looking at quite a span of years. Kroger is the store I use. One example is their coffee. I've tried all the brand names, and the fancy "have to order it" coffee.. I still like Krogers Italian roast the best. Great coffee at a better price. I find that's the case on a lot of their items.
