I have a child who is lactose intolerant and we struggle to find something that doesn't upset his stomach and still give him a pleasant taste.

The only lactose intolerance product I have used is Lactaid milk. I love that product can't tell the difference between that & regular milk. The greatest thing about it has a longer expiration date.

I used to babysit a boy who claimed he was "lactose intolerant" but he always ate pizza. Cheese is on pizza and milk is in cheese and milk has lactose in it. I didn't call him out on it though... (incase I was wrong lol)

I haven't had a glass of milk or bowl of ice cream in probably fifteen years...and, I'm originally from the Dairy state! I drank milk like water when I was little. My husband keeps trying to get me to get lactose free milk or ice cream, but, I haven't gotten up the nerve yet.

Yes, lactose is no longer my friend. Thankfully, there are options. Tofutti products are great, as are soy and other tofu cheeses. Lactaid is a gift! Wish they made a full line. The milk is great, kind of sweet, but closer than soy or rice to the real thing. Also cooks beautifully.

Crazy thing. Last year when I was expecting I was VERY Lactose intolerant. I was so sick and we could not figure it out. I was on serious anti nausea pills. Well I started taking things out of my diet and it turnes out I could hand any dairy. One I started Lacataid and didn't eat yogurt, cheese and ice cream I was fine.

My hubby is. He has been that way for about 7 years now. That's the odd thing about it. He was born that way, then it went away, then it came back. He takes the pills for it so he can eat his favorite stuff. I was buying the Lactaid milk for him, but it's too expensive. I feel for him when he has an "episode".

Both lactose free milk and lactose ice cream are very good. Try both and you will see they taste just like regular milk and ice cream. Beyers vanilla is delicious.
