i think we all still need to treat ourselfs and family even if its just something small
I can't live without going to the movies! And I love to go to dinner after...
I am determined not to overhaul my life because of the media and current presidential administration telling me that we are in an economic downturn. I do find myself being a little more careful with where my money goes, but we have always done that in my household. I feel that if we completely change our lives and treat ourselves and our families to nothing we are going to be a nation of depressed people that will not be willing to fight for anything, a nation of apathetic people drowning in their own sorrows. Keep your head up USA and treat yourself to the things that will keep you happy and your family happy as well. WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS!!!
I'm going to spend on the little treats like makeup for myself, snacks for the kids, etc for several reasons. I'm a coupon user and will find great deals, the money is spent locally so it helps the economy, and the kids need stability. The budget for these extras maybe significantly smaller but it has gone away completely. Even if i have to eliminate all extra spending, snacks are essential. Gifts can be made at home with things I buy locally. As far as makeup I can always go all natural as I am a Knock out. :)
My husband and I use dinner out as a way to reconnect. He's gone significant amounts of time during the week, and dinner out gives us the opportunity to sit quietly, usually without our kids, and get caught up.
