I tend to look at the entire label, but have been focusing on calories and fat since I've been put on a diet. :) So far it's been helping me a whole lot.

Calories Calories Calories. It doesn't matter if the calories are coming from fat or sugars, it's still calories, which means it will turn into fat in your body if you don't burn it. Of course nutritional content in vital, but if you only look at the fat and purchase low fat items but the calories are still 500, you are still consuming 500 calories whether from fat or sugars.

I look at calories first and then fat content. The 3rd influence is fiber ...

I follow Weight Watchers, so calories, fat and fiber are what I look at. My choice to answer this survey was a toss of the coin. Something can be low in one area, but high in an area and those items could have a bearing on whether I would eat it.

I look at sodium, I don't want to bloat. I don't count calories it's a waste of time.

I look at fat first then calories. Fat is what will kill you first with clogged artires. You can be skinny and still have high cholestrol. Then I watch the calories to help keep the weight down.

I look at the carbs, as a diabetic carb intake is important in keeping my blood sugar down.
