The thing about watching fat is .... the more fat the more calories. I don't know the specific but there are X amount of calories for every gram of fat. That is why if you get fat free Ice Cream there are way fewer calories, and the same goes for all fat free food or drink.
Carbs are the most important to me because of my blood sugar
GOTTA WATCH THEM Calories GUYS
I picked other because there are several people in my family that are allergic to milk. I use to think we were a bit odd, but it turns out there are a whole lot of people allergic to milk too.
I'm currently on the Atkins diet plan and which is a low carb diet. So I look at the Carbs, 1st.
I look at the fat content in foods. Trying to loose weight, and by cutting my fat intake I have already lost 7 lbs in less than a month!
There's no one thing on a label that's more important than all the others. I look for calories, fat content, sugar, fiber and protein content.. plus, I avoid refined white flours and sugars.
I always check for both fat and calorie content, also sugar..it can be very fattening!
Transfats are the most important information for me. Calories and others being secondary.
I tend to use the nutrition info as a guide, I don't count calories but if something has more than 30% of fat, sodium, cholesterol or carbs, it is not something that I will buy.
