I am really into "coupons", so I get quite a few things for "free" or "next to free". By using the coupons I have been able to cut our grocery bill in half, so the hourly cut at work doesn't seem to hurt quite as much!

I don't ever go to the movies. It's so much cheaper to just buy the movie when it comes out on DVD within the first week. They are always cheaper then even going to see the movie! I have to buy my makeup or look like a ghost...lol.

It is important to continue to contribute to our economy whenever possible. Although I am on a tight budget I still make it a point to go out to dinner, the only difference is I search for coupons and special offers and my girlfriends and I have found some unique places that we would never have found if it had not been for the coupon searches.

With the economy the way it is and the doom and gloom that surrounds it, it is best not to cut everything out if at all possible. We only have one life to live and we need to live it, embrace it. Yes, you dont have to have "things" to make you happy but sometimes just getting out of the house and bowling or going to a move help greatly in keeping our sanity.

The kids need their treats, that sometimes how I reward them for the good things that they do to encourage them to continue to do their best and we all need our snack to tie us over to the next meal so I couldn't give these up.

Occasionally I go out for meals and now view each occurrence as a treat. I don't take the outing for granted as I sometime did before the economy took a turn for the worst.

Dinner out is a great way to treat my family, and also a good way to encourage and support struggling businesses. We like to patronize local, non-chain places especially.

We still buy snacks, just not as many and every once in a while we will get a magazine. We rarely go out to eat any more so that is a big treat when we do.

I feel its still okay to buy some things just in moderation. If everyone stops buying things then we will be way worse off.
