There's a new trend for families about to have a child: the baby pre-nup. Parents sign a (non-legally binding) agreement about what each parent will do to take care of the baby. What do you think?

How were your responsibilites broken up when your baby was young? What would you have wanted to discuss and divide up before hand if you had the chance to do it again?

Yes! It's good to decide in advance about responsibilities before the baby is born (18.4%)

No! Parents should help each other take care of the baby - they shouldn't need to sign something! (59.3%)

Not sure. It's a good idea to talk about responsibilities but it's impossible to know the reality (22.4%)

At least to have a basic plan just in case. A parenting plan should be done no matter what. But I think they should at least decide on some of the major factors just in case. This would be helpful if there is a split up. They can change it later but just to have a plan to fall back on would be nice.

Discussion of life changes is always a good idea. It helps to hash it over and sets the change in motion .
