Best Diet(s)?
on Oct 30, 2013
(Read 1868 times | Comments: 5)
I'm in a wedding at the end of December and I would like to lose about 10lb (more would be great). I have looked at several diets (Paleo, Fast) but can't find one that seems easy & practical to follow. Any ideas or recommendations on plans that have worked well for you?

I am doing PALEO with lots of modifications. Most difficult thing is getting enough protein & not carbs. I use SPARKPEOPLE's nutrition tracker & changed the ratio breakdown of my daily calories in GRAMS to 20% is carb, 40% fat and 40% Protein for a 1200-1550 calorie day. Which works out like this: Carbs (60-77 grams) Fat (53-68 grams) Protein (120-155 grams) I am obese & need to lose 95 lbs now. Trying to burn off the body/belly fat I have. I use protein powder, eat a lot of tilapia filets (8 oz to 1 lb), tuna fish, bacon, chicken breast. Shrimp. No bread, no diet sodas, very little dairy. No fruit juices. Use stevia for sweetner NOT truvia, or nectresse. Basically you're eating fresh food and no or hardly any processed food. I have lost 13 lbs since I started (9/27 to 11/1). I do body measurements weekly. because muscle weighs more. I feel better, have more energy, clothes that were tight are fitting better or looser. I am motherbear4 on Sparkpeople.

Do atleast 30-60 minutes of cardio every other day. Eat lean meats, whole grains, fat free milk, zero calorie drinks.

You could try a 3 day military diet, it has a strict meal plan and no exercise. You lose 3-10 lbs.
