3 yr old (4th Child) Won't Potty Train

So my 4th child who just turned 3 years old will not potty train. She said that she loves diapers and pull-ups. We've tried everything from bribing, to sitting her on there and letting her read, to getting her excited because she's such a big girl. I have three other children who at the age of three years old wanted to be potty trained. She just isn't into it. She even has friends potty trained and it doesn't phase her that she is still wearing diapers.

I also think that you shouldn't wait on her. Let her change herself.

The key to potty training is teaching her to listen to her body . The sensation of fullness just before you pee is what you are really training her for. The every 30 min hit or miss works for most but when you get one who has trouble it takes real cloth. First she will stop when she wetts then it will help her be more sensitive to the real key how it feels right before she wetts. Please don't be mad or punish or shame. Put panties on her and be prepared to clean her up often at first but I bet it wont take long .

Nobody is punishing her by asking her to put on clean underwear or whatever she is wearing. Sorry you feel that way but she is 3 years old and most 3 year olds can dress themselves a little. The post says the 3 year old loves diapers and pull-ups. So, I would suggest since the child loves them, she change them too.

I'm having the same problem with my 2 1/2 year old. My first child was pity trained and wearing briefs before he was two years old and he only wet the bed once in his entire life. He was my first and only child for thirteen years, until now. With my first, I thought, "This is to easy, my next one is gonna be a terror, I just know it." Which, he isn't a terror, but he is definitely spoiled. He was 7 weeks premature, so I guess that I have to account for that. If he acted even remotely like he was ready to potty train, I would feel different, but he do doesn't.

I don't think he's ready yet. I don't think you have a problem at all right now.

Woohoo! She's potty-trained! Two days ago she came up to my husband and said I have to go potty and has been doing it very since! No more diapers! So excited!!!

This is one of those things you can't really force. The only thing you can do is to give her a reward every time she went to the bathroom rather than in her diaper. This will make them feel special and appreciated.

Mine wouldn't either and we tried everything too! I thought for sure he was going to be the first kid in college and still in diapers! Luckily though, he finally outgrew them (I think it was age 6 >,< ) Have faith ^_^

my daughter will be 3 in June. I cant help but feel like if I'm the one doing something wrong. She goes pee in the toilet at times. But she also like wearing diapers too. WHat bothers me the most is that she goes and grabs her diaper, wipes and powder , then brings it to me so i can change her. Heck, she even tries to change her own diaper. I dont know what else to do for her to use the toilet all the time! im frustrated.
