Putting yourself in Silda Wall Spitzer?s position, would you stand by your man as she did when the news of his philandering broke?

Silda Wall Spitzer is just the latest politician's wife who's had to endure the embarrassment of her family's personal affairs being broadcast to the world- Remember Dina McGreevey?! So, we were curious, if you were in the same situation, would you, as Tammy Wynette sang, "stand by your man"?

Or would you tell him that he was "on his own"? We want to know what you think!

Yes (9.5%)

No (61.3%)

I'm not sure (29.3%)

Putting yourself in Silda Wall Spitzer?s position, would you stand by your man as she did when the news of his philandering broke?

No way would I support him. He deserves no support! It was not just once that he had his fun but over and over. Why? Because he wanted too. I do not feel sorry for the jerk.

I certainly would not stand next to my hubby in the public if he did that to me. Sure you marry for "better or worse" but, you also vow loyalty to each other, and that means not fooling around with other people. No marriage is perfect, and yes there are 2 sides to every story, but to be a public figure and be involved with a call girl, he was asking for it, and she should wolk out on him for good. It's happened enough times for a public figure to do things like that, why do they all still think they can get away with it. It is very disrespectful to the wife, as well as the people of New York. Now it's possible she too was off on the side with another man, but it still does not make it okay. If that's what it comes down too, you need to not be together.

Silda is a highly educated woman that knew she had to stand up next to her husband right or wrong. You could tell by looking at her the hurt and pain she has endured, and she shock that she is in. For her children, like it or not it will not change the fact that he is their father. You don't know how it feels until you have lived and walked in her shoes.

I don't think he's worth standing up for. His very actions - speak volumn for his morals and concern for issues of(family, health, safety and marriage). He jepardized everyone is his life on many levels. The wife should have some dignity - you simple cannot condemn this kind of behavior. She should hold her own press conference - then move on with the children and pick up the pieces. Why should a wife be expected to publicly stand by her husbands side through such an ordeal. She was not a part of his extra-curricular activities...so why should she be a part now. Let him face the music alone or better yet have the other woman stand by his side.

She has no spine - she is as worthless as he.

they talked about it on one of those shoes on nbc and the lady said most political marriages are almost arranged to keep the money in the sect type thing. she is very strong to be standing there especially since they may have had a keep it in the sect marriage. she probably knew about the affairs and didnt care cuz she wasnt going to do it for him.
