Quality is what counts. Good paint can be made into any color and cheap is just what it sounds like.

I had a hard time picking between price and quality. When I bought paint after buying a house, I looked for the cheapest one that did really well in Consumer Reports. You really can't go by the price alone because higher prices don't always mean better quality. Some of the expensive kinds got horrible reviews whereas the kind I got was only a couple dollars more per gallon than the absolute cheapest but it got great reviews.

I could care less about environmentally friendly paint...I pick what's in my price range and the color I want. I can't spend $70 for a can of paint. Even Al Gore doesn't buy that paint!!!

Bought a cheaper store brand paint and had many, many drips, what a waste of money! I buy for quality now. The paint store matches the color I want and I have no drips!

daffney Quality is very important for several reasons. One being is, the better the paint the less often you have to paint.

daffney Quality is more important. The better the paint the longer the paint job lasts.

Color was the most important for my selection as I was looking for a color that would change with the sun during the day and by night, it would give off a second color to give the room a different look/feel.

I would typically just buy the paint that was on sale, until I tried a more expensive better quality brand...What a difference...now I buy QUALITY...
