We usually take a cruise every year but with the high cost of gas (we commute for our jobs) we have to use it to put in the cars! So we decided to skip it this year and just try to hunt out free events in our own community.

We take our main vacation in the fall, we fly to the Caribbean, and in the summer we usually picnic and spend time with friends and family. We won't sacrifice that time with the folks we love who may or may not be here for us to enjoy this time next year, just for gas prices. We may cut back a bit, but we won't change plans completely and just NOT do things.

We only have one trip "planned" and are really shopping around for deals on hotels and such. With gas so high, distance is the biggestest factor of course. We are keeping an eye on airline and hotels rates before making a final decision.
