Do you color or highlight your hair?

Spring is well underway and it seems like so many of us like to "brighten" our look after the long and dark winter! So, we were curious, just how many of us actually highlight our hair?

Whether you do it to cover grey, brighten up your own color or to completely change color, we were curious, do you color or highlight your hair? Why?

Yes- I usually do it myself with home hair color products (50.5%)

Yes- I usually go to a salon for a stylist to do (28.5%)

No- I do not color or highlight my hair (11.6%)

Not yet, but I'm thinking about it (9.3%)

    I find that I am able to just as good of a job myself with home hair color products and it's usually much cheaper.

    I usually dye my own hair, but for those who want the salon-performance but want to buy their own dye, most salons will only charge you the price of a hair cut to dye it with your dye.

    I have very short hair, it just doesn't seem cost effective to have someone else do it when it only takes a half a box for me to do it myself.

    I get mine done at the salon but, am always frustrated with how long it takes! I would love a faster solution.

    I've colored my hair in the past and thought it looked ok, but when I saw pictures of myself I could really tell that it wasn't professionally done. For me I only trust a professional to do it these days.

    I go to the salon to get mine done.The last time I let a friend do it she turned it carrot orange,it was awful!that cured me from doing it myself.

    i do it myself because it is cheaper but i am thinking of going to a salon. i would like to see if it would look better and last longer. if so it may be worth the cost.

    I always color my hair myself. I I thik salons are very over priced and you can do just as good on your own.

    I don't color my hair. I did it like twice just for something different but if you do it too much, it really damages your hair. My hair becomes naturally highlighted during the summer because of the sun and I use some natural lemon extract stuff to lighten it but besides that, I don't use that ammonia stuff.

    I love to color my hair! I do it all the time at home by myself, that way if it doesn't come out right, I have no one to blame but myself!
