well valintines day for our family is just being together and letting each other know how much we love one another and appriciate one another. Sometimes we go out to eat other times we just buy little things that say Hey I love you. its all about the little extra time we can spend together in our fast past life with school and work. Its one of our favorite holidays!!!

It's hard to get in the mood when your husband is deployed, but it's my 7 month old son first one, so I'm going to try and make it wonderful!

We celebrate Valentines Day more because it was my fathers birthday. When he was alive, we made it a big deal! We made dinner together, baked cookies and exchanged presents. And when I was little, he used to hide a box of candy, kind of like an Easter Basket. I have kept up the tradition with my kids, and always remind them of Papa's birthday.

It really depends what day of the week it falls on. We sometimes to go out or stay at home. We celebrate in our own way. Last year, our daughter cooked us the most wonderful meal and at the time she was only 12! Really nice day.
