Are you or anyone in your household lactose intolerant?

There seem to be so many new Lactose free products on the market.  Every time we go to the supermarket there's something new.  For those of us who are lactose intolerant ,or have a loved one who is, this is music to our ears.

We were curious, are you or anyone in your household lactose intolerant?  Do you have an easy time finding products that you like that are lactose free?

Have only tried Lactaid, but haven't considered purchasing products that are lactose free. I think it may be a big difference in taste.

The Lactaid milk is a great product and Trader Joe's Yogurt Cheese is lactose free and is made of milk - I love it since I can't have regular cheese.

Lactaid milk is great, I use it all the time. Can't tell the difference between Lactaid and real milk

It is really hard to find things that still taste good but are lactose free. You are limited on your options.

I also find it hard to find products that taste good, but there are some products that control it pretty well if I get the urge for milk or icecream.

I've found that the imitation cheese is best if I want to get by with something that melts but is still contains a bit of lactose. It used to be simply called 99 cent cheese. I also buy Rice cheese- it tastes and melts a LOT better than soy cheese. For things such as sour cream and cream cheese I buy Toffutti brand things- it's yummy! I also really like the ice-cream SO Delicious Dairy Free (yummy!!) which can be found at Wally*World!

we thought my daughter might be so we tried the lactose free milk, she HATED it and would not drink it! Luckily the problem, whatever it was caused by, resolved itself. I actually do have a form of lactose intolerance but not with my stomach, I get extremely congested if I have too many milk products - not enough to keep me away from ice cream though!
