The music is super catchy and I understand it is just supposed to be an enjoyable movie. However, PT Barnum committed horrible abuses against disabled people. Making a movie that centers him as a hero to disabled people is incredibly hurtful.

Fun Tunes, Not So Great Idea The music is fun and gets you to sing along, the plot sort of makes you invested in the characters and their stories, but the glamorization of the abuse of animals and exploitation of unique people isn't a great movie topic. The movie by itself is okay, maybe a 3/5 just for the catchy tunes, not really sure why they needed to make a love story between Zendaya and Efron's characters when they could have just expanded on Jackman and William's characters love story. In any case if it weren't pushing the idea that the circus wasn't horrible and cruel to the workers maybe I would like it more, but since it does I'm not exactly a fan.

Wonderful Fun! Great movie! I know that it isn't historically accurate but this movie is great entertainment. The cast is top notch and the music is incredible. I have most of the songs on a current playlist and listen to them daily.
