Beach and Backyard Gear Must Haves This Summer

Whether you are heading out to the beach or just chilling in your own backyard, our members can recommend the best gear for your day in the sun.

Here are a few products we won’t go without this summer:

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock
Keeping your skin protected from harmful UV rays should always be your top priority when spending time outdoors. Wearing long sleeves, a hat, plus a powerful sunscreen is recommended. And many of our members rely on this Neutrogena sun block with an SPF of 70. MayWww says, “This is our family's go-to sunscreen for summer. It is very light and easy to apply, comes with a very pleasant scent, and kept its function long enough for outdoor activities. I tried so many different versions and they usually are thick and oily, but this one is just right. Highly recommend it!”

Coleman RoadTrip Grill
This is an essential for your backyard or beach trip. With it’s ease of portability, you can get your grill on just about anywhere this season. SheSpeaks member NotherAgain says, “This is a really handy item for both travel and at home. We've had one for almost two decades and it is still going strong. At first, we purchased it for camping--very portable as it folds up into a efficient size, cleans up really easily, versatile because you easily change out the plates. But once the 'big grill' stopped working, we set this up at home because we realized we didn't need anything with enormous cooking area. It works great even exposed to the elements all year long.”

Sable Inflatable Pool
You don’t have to go all the way to the beach or public pool to cool off this summer, this inflatable pool is perfect for family water fun. SheSpeaks member SusanHN has been enjoying her backyard pool and says, “If you are looking for a way to cool down this summer, inflatable pools seem to be very popular. This one is great because it is a strong rubber so hopefully, it will be less likely to tear. Plus, it has a hole at the bottom to make it easier to drain. The 92' x 56" size fits two adults, plus 13 and 9 year olds - but very snuggly. It's hard to inflate it completely, so the sides remain squishy, but it's still a ton of fun."

When heading for a little relaxation under the sun, don’t forget to bring the tune with you. And don’t worry if the ocean mist comes your way, since this speaker is waterproof. SheSpeaks member Kathlina loves this speaker’s volume capacity and battery power. She says, “We bought this little speaker for our son one year for Christmas. Now we use it all the time hahaha. This little speaker really packs a punch! It's louder and has way more bass then you would think. The battery life is really good plus it's waterproof so we use it while taking showers or poolside to jam out. Way better than expected!”
