Makes: 1 burger
Description: Sometimes we just want a burger... This is a very filling way to get all of your vegetables into your burger, kick out the carbs, and still have a healthy meal. Feel free to use a boca/vegetarian burger if you want to keep it all vegan! Or--stay with your red meat, as used in this recipe! You're definitely going to need to cut this big burger in half (or quarters)...it gets messy!
Ingredients:
1 patty
Burger meat (or boca/vegan/vegetarian burger patty)
2
Portobello Mushroom Caps
1/2 c
Alfalfa Sprouts
2 tbsp
ketchup
1/2
Fresh tomato
1 Spray
PAM
Instructions: Prepare a pan with tinfoil and PAM. Put your 2 portobello mushrooms on the pan and put it into the oven on Broil. Cook each side on broil for 10 minutes. While this is happening: Cook burger patty as directed. Wash all of your vegetables. Slice the tomato. Take out the portobello mushrooms & put them on a plate as if they were buns. Layer on the tomato, alfalfa sprouts, burger patty, ketchup, and then the other mushroom cap. TADA. You have a healthy, vegetable burger! Delicious...very filling...good luck if you can eat the whole thing!
It's huge..
holy intense! great idea! what a meal! i used a veggie burger and small portobellos to make mini sliders. I marinated the portobello's in balsamic. Then cooked the burger and portobello's on the grille.
Delightful oven baked kale that is just slightly crunchy and chock full of flavor! The coconut adds just a slightly sweet taste to it.

This is such a delicious alternative to noodles! It has a wonderful flavor and does not make you feel "stuffed" after eating like carbs do.
